Practice areas in the firm typically focus on major commercial transactional and litigation matters.

Our firm represents several small to mid-size regional banks, corporations and large and small business principals on a wide range of matters including financing, litigation, foreclosure and workouts.  In the current economic climate, our lawyers offer experience from major past recessions in the greater Hartford area in restructuring, asset retrieval and preservation and representation in matters associated with the credit crisis.

Our transactional work includes commercial purchase and sales, 1031 exchanges, zoning matters and contract negotiation.

Byrne & Storm and its supporting staff comprise a litigation team with the capacity to handle a variety of significant commercial contract and litigation matters in both state and federal courts as well as state and federal administrative tribunals. The litigation team is able to take your case from trial through appeal to Appellate Court and Court of Appeals.

The firm represents clients in Probate and Family matters on a limited basis and other minor criminal and general litigation matters for existing or referred clients.  As a rule, the firm will not represent clients on a contingency fee basis, but will evaluate matters involving negligence which are generally referred to highly-respected colleagues with practices that focus on tort representation.
